Savannah for the Arts is a local leading non-profit organization
to advance arts education in Savannah. Savannah for the Arts is
dedicated
to representing and serving the local community by providing opportunities for every Savannah citizen to participatein and appreciate
all forms of
the arts.
Savannah is highly enriched with the arts, through its charming squares,
majestic architecture, galleries, theatres and home to
the Savannah College of Art and Design. Savannah it the prefect place to launch our group, Savannah for the Arts primary focus is three fold; 1. To foster an environment in which the arts can thrive and contribute to the creation
of a lively local community. 2. To generate public and private resources for arts education in Savannah. 3. To build strong appreciation and support for the arts, and strengthen the value that art has on a young individual. |
Our goal is to inform parents and concerned citizens of the
potentially powerful voice they have in regards to supporting the
arts in education. We have supplied information and resources on
our website that establish the arts as a full academic subject, an empowering motivator in life studies.
To achieve our goals, we partner with local organizations like the Savannah Office of Cultural Affairs. We provide extensive arts research while following national guidelines set forth by Americans for the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, U.S. Department
of Education and the National Center for Education Statistics. |
